New Delhi, August 14, 2008 - Studying audience behavior for the segment your program
targets is the key to improving viewership ratings, said Mr. LV Prasad, CEO of
Television Audience Management (TAM). He was addressing the students of the new
batch of Mass Communications and Management at the Apeejay Institute of Mass
Communication in the city. As an agency that looks into television audience, the
TAM head advised students that building interest factors in the programs and
differentiating from look-alike channels were crucial factors.

Giving his valuable insights, he referred to the wedding of Bollywood celebrities -
Abhishek Bacchan and Aishwarya Rai - which was emulated by the popular television
serials being aired around the same time to boost their TRPs. Another example was
of the highly popular incident of a small child, Prince, which had the entire
country glued to their TV screens for nearly two days. The success of the coverage
was due to the camera inside the well, which captured the emotions of the child.

aegis of the reputed Apeejay Education Society. AIMC has today emerged as one of the
best media institute and offers courses in TV and Radio Production including News
reporting & Anchoring, Advertising, Public Relations, Event Management and Print

a constituent unit of the industrial house Apeejay Stya. The major objective of the
